Sifone is a shampoo product that was popular in the 90s Asian market. Inspired by found Chinese specimen advertising this shampoo, I created a companion English typeface that aims to capture the same flair and bounciness in the original characters.

Sifone's Indonesian ad featuring a hyper-condensed display type.

This early ad was found in the newspaper clipping of the 1994 January 16's Liberation Daily, figuring very pointy "serif" that mimics the use of broad-edge pen. The ad copy translates to soft and smooth comes from Sifone.

These characteristics of angled stroke and rounded letters are very similar to the Uncial script.
