What Brought Us to This: A Visual Log of 2022 Shanghai Lockdown is a book recording and critiquing the dramatic events caused by China's harsh zero-COVID policies. The whole country is struggling under authoritarian control and we've seen many absurd tragedies happening over and over again.

Jo Zixuan (周子璇) is a freelance illustrator pursuing a Master's Degree at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, US.
She graduated from School of Visual Arts, Illustration BFA in 2019. Her art is inspired by printing textures and simplistic compositions. She's always looking for ways to reimagine print surface in digital media, and currently transitioning from illustration to Graphic Design.
She also enjoys printmaking, ceramics, gardening, bird-watching, teaching, traveling, and so much more.
